How it works:
1. Meet & Greet Email and Call: We connect to make sure we’re aligned, we talk about your needs and how we can work together.
2. Proposal + Contract + 50% Deposit: You receive your proposal, sign the contract, and submit your deposit to lock in your reportage session.
3. Preliminary Meeting: We review together all the technical & artistic details of the reportage, we prepare the shooting and answer any questions you may have.
4. Photo & Video Shooting: I go onsite and capture the photos and video that will give your visual branding a fresh new look.
5. Professional editing: I edit them thoroughly on Lightroom and CapCut within a maximum of 21 days (except of cases of force majeure).
6. Closure: I deliver all the edited photos & video, we have a last feedback together and we finalize the payment.
What include the costs:
1. Editing & post-production: One hour of shooting automatically requires one to two hours of post-production (photo selection, sorting, editing, exporting in different sizes, delivery, etc.). The post-production time also depends on the type of service. Therefore, the actual working time ranges from two to four hours, depending on the case.
2. Cost of photographic equipment: I work with professional Fujifilm equipment. For your information, a semi-professional/professional camera body costs between US $1,700 and US $6,500. To be versatile, I have a number of lenses suited to different uses. A professional lens costs at least US $1,500, but the price can quickly rise with quality. These lenses, when not damaged, can be kept for a relatively long time, but they inevitably undergo technological changes and wear & tear after several years. Added to this are accessories, which also come at a significant cost: bags & cases for transport, tripod, chargers, batteries, filters, remote control, SD cards, etc.
3. Cost of computer equipment: A powerful, fast computer is essential for processing large images (RAW format), and the screen must be of professional quality, with calibrated colors (and a calibration probe). When it comes to backing up files, photographers can hardly afford to skip buying hard drives or even a NAS system.
4. Software subscriptions: The significant cost of monthly subscriptions to post-processing software such as Lightroom and Photoshop.
5. Website cost: This website is not cost-free. Each year I have to pay for the host, the domain name and the theme.
6. Advertisement costs: In order to promote my activity, I may have to pay for advertisement.
7. Insurance: Professional liability, pension plans, etc.
8. Taxes & social security contributions: As a French resident, I pay my taxes and social security contributions in France.
